What is SUMO ROBOT?

Robot-sumo, is a sport in which two robots attempt to push each other out of a circle. The robots used in this competition are called sumobots. The engineering challenges are for the robot to find its opponent and to push it out of the flat arena (Dohyo) by using infrared or ultrasonic sensors in Autonomous sumo robot meaning remote controllers are not allowed in this division.

For RC Sumo Robot, competitors are allowed to use remote controlled devices.
